I've posted a lot of negative stuff about school. Keep in mind that it's probably not half as bad as I experienced it. In any case, I don't want people left with the idea that we are unhappy here. This is a beautiful country with generous and kind people and fabulous food. Can't complain about that!
So in honor of my adoptive city, I present you with images that have caught my eye while wandering about the cobblestone streets.
To orient you a bit, let me remind you that Viterbo is a walled city. We often refer to things as being within the walls or outside the walls. Since we don't have a car, most of our life takes place within the walls. If you think of the circular wall as a clock, then 12 o'clock is Porta Fiorentina (Florentine Gate), we live close to 3 o'clock, SYA is close to the main entry, Porta Romana, at 6 o'clock and the medieval quarter -- San Pellegrino -- is primarily on the left side (6-12).

| One of the many churches/towers in Viterbo. This one in the center. |

| Fountain is in the center (Piazza del Comune), view of church is toward "11 o'clock" |

Typical sight as you round almost any block in Viterbo. A mix of old stones and arches and stucco buildings painted in a variety of earthy hues.
Here are some of my favorite "street shots"
